1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. Similar technologies can include local storage, pixels, tags, scripts, and other tools that store or access information on your device.
European cookie rules distinguish between technologies that are strictly necessary for a service requested by the user and technologies used for optional purposes such as analytics, advertising, personalisation, or embedded third-party content.
2. Current Use on This Website
The current OnModus website is a static informational website. It uses Google Analytics 4 after consent to measure traffic and understand how visitors use the website. Consent choices are stored in localStorage so the banner does not reappear after a choice.
Optional analytics and advertising-related storage are denied by default through Google Consent Mode v2 until you choose Accept all. Choosing Reject all keeps non-essential storage denied.
3. Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics 4 (Measurement ID G-9SRNW3NW5P) to measure traffic and understand aggregate site usage. Google Analytics sets cookies including _ga and _gid for traffic measurement, and may use related identifiers to distinguish visits and sessions. Data is handled according to Google's policies, including Google's Privacy Policy and Google Analytics information about GA4 cookie usage. You can reject Google Analytics through the cookie banner.
4. Cookie Categories
| Category | Purpose | Consent position | Current OnModus use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Required to make a website work, keep it secure, or provide a feature requested by the user. | May be used without prior consent where genuinely necessary. | No dedicated website cookies are currently listed. |
| Preference | Remember choices such as language, region, or display preferences. | Consent may be required unless the preference is clearly requested by the user or legally exempt. | Stores the cookie banner choice in localStorage, not as a browser cookie. |
| Analytics | Measure visits, page performance, and user behaviour. | Consent is generally required unless a narrow national exemption applies and safeguards are met. | Google Analytics 4 is used after consent; cookies include _ga and _gid for traffic measurement. |
| Marketing or tracking | Profile users, personalise advertising, retarget visitors, or track users across websites. | Prior consent is required. | No marketing or advertising cookies are intentionally set by this website. |
5. Third-Party Resources
This website serves its fonts and interface symbols locally from the same website domain. These resources are not used by OnModus for advertising, analytics, or behavioural profiling.
The Google tag loads for Consent Mode and Google Analytics configuration. Optional analytics storage remains denied unless you accept it through the cookie banner. If the website later uses embedded media, maps, social plug-ins, or marketing tools, those providers may set their own cookies or access device information and we will identify those technologies where required.
6. Consent and Withdrawal
Where consent is required, we will request it before storing or accessing non-essential information on your device. Consent must be freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous. Refusing non-essential cookies should not prevent access to the basic website.
The cookie banner lets you accept all optional storage or reject all non-essential storage. You can reopen these choices through the Cookie settings link in the footer. Necessary technologies cannot usually be disabled through the website because they are required for the service to function.
7. Browser Controls
You can usually block, delete, or manage cookies in your browser settings. The exact controls depend on your browser and device. Blocking all cookies may affect website features on some websites, although the current OnModus website should remain readable without optional cookies.
8. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if the website changes, if we add new service providers, or if the legal rules or guidance change. The latest version will be published on this page.
