(Lead) Data Engineer

As a (Lead) Data Engineer you are the one who builds the pipelines, web services, and overall solution architecture. You create data models to drive better information through reusable data sets, automation, and advanced data processing.

YOUR CHALLENGES

Some of the challenges that you are faced with as a Data Engineer include data acquisition, finding hidden patterns using data, preparing data for predictive and prescriptive modelling, using data to explore tasks that can be automated, developing data set processes, and identifying ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.

Other challenges are developing, constructing, and maintaining architectures and aligning these with business requirements, and deployment of sophisticated analytics programs and statistical methods.

YOUR STRENGTHS AND CAPABILITIES

• You have excellent analytical skills and a passion for working with data

• You have experience with cloud technology and high volume structured and unstructured data

• You have a good understanding of languages/technologies used in data engineering and data science

• You are confident in data manipulation, blending, analysis, and charting

• You are familiar with current issues within the online media industry, such as attribution, data collection, targeting, and privacy

• You enjoy taking responsibility for your topics and finding that sweet spot between speed, quality, and delivering in bigger projects

• Fluency in English. Dutch, German and Spanish are a plus
